DOTA

I want to introduce a platform where players are able to place bets on their own games VS other teams that are up for the challenge. This platform will allow your average Joe to add a element of excitement and competitiveness to a game they love playing.
How I propose to do this is to appoint trusted escrow for the Bitcoins. The escrow can pay out after the end of each game based on the match results and game ID posted in their thread. The moderators/escrow of each skill bracket will confirm the winner thus releasing the funds
Since different DOTA players will have different skill levels, we will use the MMR team system to calculate the average skill level of a team. We may also track their wins and losses and have them updated by moderators within this forum, thus encouraging a fair and competitive environment.
If anyone is interested in this idea or can give me any feedback on how to improve please post here thanks!

I think there is opportunity for this but this concept may cross into legal territory and different laws and regulations set by other countries. Aside from that, if you are willing to research and find out what you would need to actually get this running, I would be really interested to know. Keep me updated Jcyrpto.

to me it seems that this may be in the grey area and that no TRUE regulation exists for gambling bitcoins online. Governments view them as a commodity yet they are viewed by others as digital currency. If there is regulations, it would require a betting license
Hopefully the moderators at CB can consider this option as I'm really interested in playing dota for bitcoins haha
