Hey guys
Im interested to know if anybody has ever tried arbitrage betting before?
I want to find out if its really worth going through the trouble, and if the bookmakers find out what you are doing will they ban you from their site?
Hopefully somebody on this community has some experience with arb betting, I have been looking into it but I haven't found any arb bets with the bitcoin bookmakers yet.

I have done arb betting for many years in the past and quite frankly bitcoin is one of the best reasons there can be opportunities again
Why?
1) Liquidity - extremely easy to move money from book to book and an absolute must for arbing
2) Selection of sportsbooks - With BTC/Crypto books it is much easier for platforms to be developed and not have to worry about regulation and from the customer POV not having to worry about being in a restricted country (USA etc) is a major plus
3) Anonymity - Usually, professional arbers have to have many identities because their own accounts get banned or limited fast after they are seen taking advantage of soft lines. Being able to have tons of anonymous accounts counters this traditional barrier from the sportsbooks.
Why not?
1) Lack of sharp sportsbooks - There isnt a pinny/betfair/matchbook where there will always be scalpable lines. In arbing there always has to be a sharp book with sharp lines and a square book with square lines for you to have constant arb opportunities. Right now there are tons and tons of square books but almost none sharp books. Which makes it impossible to arb at the current moment. Once a real exchange is launched like betfair but bettable in BTC thats when BTC arbing will take off
2) Low limits- Most of the BTC books have relatively low limits and when you are arbing ~0.5% arbs you want to be able to get big bets in on both sides

I agree with this 100%
I do believe though that it is just a matter of time before the major sports books will start accepting bitcoin as payment. I just don't know how they will go about it. Will they allow Bitcoin users to remain anonymous or will they expect proper identification like they do with fiat betting. I am excited to see how sports betting will start developing as bitcoin becomes more mainstream.

good insight rabbit. Why hasn't there been a sharp btc book released yet?

No need and its still in its infancy. Rare for a sharp book to be out there because they basically WANT to be arbed as weird as it sounds for many of you.
Square books are easy to set up and easier to make money
Best solution is an exchange ie betfair matchbook, but requires a ton of liquidity or else that is useless as well
